When dropshipping, do you take a product you don’t own and sell it on your site as yours for a mark-up?

Yes, that is essentially how dropshipping works. As a dropshipper, you set up an online store and add products to your website that you do not physically own or have in your inventory. You then market and sell those products on your website, usually at a marked-up price, to customers who place orders on your site. Once an order is placed, you forward the order to your supplier or manufacturer, who ships the product directly to the customer on your behalf.

Dropshipping allows you to sell products without having to invest in inventory or carry the risk of unsold inventory. However, it’s important to note that dropshipping can come with its own set of challenges, such as managing supplier relationships, dealing with product quality issues, and ensuring timely delivery to customers. It’s important to research and vet your suppliers carefully to ensure that they are reliable and provide quality products that meet your customers’ expectations.

I own a channel where I discuss these dropshipping topics. Watching some of the videos is a good place to start. best of luck! https://www.youtube.com/c/Askadella
